1:- Download the SFC3 PATCH - BUILD 531

2:- Download the MAIN DOWNLOAD - Dominion Wars v4.6

3:- Download the LATEST DOMWARS PATCH

4:- Uninstall any current version of Starfleet Command III

5:- Delete the SFC3 folder (Program Files\Activision\SFC3). This will remove any leftover files that may complicate the installation.

6:- Install Starfleet Command III

7:- Install the SFC3 PATCH - BUILD 531

8:- Install the MAIN DOWNLOAD - Dominion Wars v4.6

9:- Install the LATEST DOMWARS PATCH - The patch will automatically run a .bat file at the end of the installation. This .bat file is necessary to complete the installation. Please allow it to run.

10:- If you are using Windows XP - Right Click on SFC3, select Properties, then Compatability Options. Now check the box that says "Disable Visual Themes".

11:- Load up the game, it WILL TAKE LONGER TO LOAD THEN THE ORIGINAL GAME. It's important to remember this. Many people believe the game has crashed, and CTRL+ALT+DEL out, when in fact the game is just taking it's time loading up. The loading process cannot be speeded up because of the way the game was written. You'll just have to wait!!

12:- Go to the Vessel Library, if all of the new ships are there, then your installation is complete!!

13:- If it still appears that you are in the original game, then exit, go into your SFC3 directory, find a file called "Dominion_Wars.bat" and double click on it to run it. This should complete your installation correctly.

14:- If you have any problems, then check the FAQ's & Guides section, your solution may be there. If not, contact the Admin via the Comm section, or visit the forums & post in the Error & Bug Reports forum.

SKIRMISH MODE

Skirmish Mode is a special mode which enables all of the AI race ships to be playable in one of the 4 main races. This is designed for those who wish to play them in Skirmish Mode. It also strips all ships of their refit items, this is so that it will load up at high speed, very useful for those who play IP Skirmishes.

1:- To run Skirmish Mode, simply go into your SFC3 directory and look for a file called "Skirmish.bat". Double Click to Run it and enable Skirmish Mode.

2:- To restore the normal Dominion Wars Mod, simply return to your SFC3 directory, and run the file called "Dominion_Wars.bat" and it will restore the proper Dominion Wars Mod.

SHIELD GRAPHICS

The DomWars Mod by default does NOT use Shield Rings around it's ships. The reason being is that quite simply, it looks better!! However, for tactical reasons, some players prefer to see these Shield Rings. So an option to restore them is included within the mod.

1:- Go into your SFC3 directory and locate the file called "Shield_Graphics_Restorer.bat". Run that and it will restore your shield graphics.

2:- If at any time you run Dominion_Wars.bat or Skirmish.bat, you will need to run Shield_Graphics_Restorer.bat again to restore the shield rings
